Blog Post 4 - Classic Car Progress 1 This week, we began the Classic Car Assignment. The car that I chose for this assignment is the 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. I absolutely love this car because of the front and back bumpers, and the overall curves that were very common in that era of cars. I was able to find fairly good reference drawings that were initially used to construct the car in real life. However, I do need to spend a bit more time collecting more general references that contain the car in most, if not all, of the possible angles. I simply used references from GettyImages for the time being. Creating the curves was actually much more difficult than I had anticipated. I needed the curves to be as accurate as possible to the real car, because the closer the accuracy of the curves, the easier it would be to create the base topology of the car with the curves as a reference.
